How do I access Tasting Lab in Premier Crew?Updated 4 months ago

If you have monthly or annual subscription to Premier Crew, you can join our virtual monthly Tasting Labs with one of NVWA's instructors.

Follow these easy steps:

1. Sign in to learn.napavalleywineacademy.com

2. Select "Premier Crew" on top menu, and then scroll down to Upcoming Tasting Labs:

Click on the Register Now button and you'll be emailed the Zoom link with an option to add it to your calendar.

3. Purchase the wines or a wine kit linked to the Tasting Lab. If you can't find the exact same ones, get similar wines (the same grape variety and region). Download the tasting resource PDF for your tasting notes and as supporting material.

For sessions that include curated tasting kits, member-priced kits typically range from about $40 to $75, depending on the number of wines included in the kit.

For Tasting Labs that do not use kits, we instead select wines that students can purchase themselves from a national retailer so they are easy to find across the U.S. We intentionally choose wines that are widely available and reasonably priced, typically between $14 and $25 per bottle, so members can taste along without needing to spend a lot.

Our goal is to make it easy for members to practice tasting consistently, whether through convenient small-format kits or affordable bottles they can source locally.

4. Join the Tasting Lab about 5 min before the start time via the calendar invite Zoom link or on Premier Crew platform at learn.napavalleywineacademy.com. We recommend that you take any chilled wines out from the fridge about an hour before your tasting. If you missed the Tasting Lab or would like to watch it again, you can access the recording on Premier Crew platform after the event.
