WSET Level 1 In-person Course
Enrolling in Course: You'll receive a purchase confirmation email within minutes of enrolling in an in-person course
Course Access: Within 30 minutes of enrolling, you'll get an email titled "Important: Access Your Course & Study Materials" with a link to online course study materials. Note: No wine or book kit is sent for in-person courses
Study Materials and Shipping: Level 1 students can download a PDF textbook online and will receive a hardcopy on the live class date
Suggested Pre-Study Time: While not required, Level 1 students are encouraged to explore the online course and PDF textbook to get more out of the in-person class and come prepared with questions for the instructor
What to Bring to In-Person Class: On the day of your in-person class, come prepared with:
- Your study materials (if applicable)
- A valid ID
- Notebook & pencils for notes and the exam
- Lunch is not included at all locations, please refer to the course confirmation email for details

Taking the Exam: WSET Level 1 exams for in-person courses are offered online starting August 2026 to allow more flexibility and study time after the course and to get the results faster.
Exam Grading and Results: Your exam is graded by WSET within about 2-4 weeks. Once we receive the results, you’ll get an email from [email protected]. If you you passed the exam the results email will include a link for claiming your digital certificate and badge.
