This article provides detailed information about the timeline for receiving results for the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) exams.

WSET Exam Results Timeline

The timeline for receiving your WSET exam results varies depending on the level of the exam you have undertaken. Below are the specifics for each level:

1. WSET Level 1 (Wine, Spirits, Sake, and Beer):
   1. Results Timeline: Results are typically available within 3-4 weeks from your exam date.
      
      
2. WSET Level 2 (Wine, Spirits, Sake, and Beer):
   1. Results Timeline: Results are available within 3-4 weeks from your exam date.
      
      
3. WSET Level 3 (Wine, Spirits, Sake, and Beer):
   1. Results Timeline: Results are available within 8-10 weeks from your exam date.

Receiving Your Results

• Email Notification: Your exam results will be emailed to the same email address you used for the exam registration. 
  
  
• Members site: If you have NVWA Membership, you will also find your WSET Exam results within your online learning portal. Click on Membership on the top menu 
• Then select your name on the top right corner to see a drop down menu and select "WSET Formal Exam Results"

Pins and Certificates

• WSET Level 1-2 certifications and badges for exams taken after November 15th, 2024 are digital and sent by email with the results. Click here to learn more about Digital Certificates.
• WSET Level 3 and 4 certifications and pins will be mailed to you within about 60 days of your exam date. You will receive an email with tracking details once the package has been shipped. Please, note that WSET will transition to digital certificates and badges also for Levels 3 and 4 starting from exams after August 17th, 2025. Click here to learn more about Digital Certificates.

What can I do if I haven't received the results within the typical timeline? 

• Sometimes results emails can go to spam folder. Please, check your spam folder and search email from Exams Napa Valley [email protected]. The email subject includes "Exam Results"  
  
  
• Please ensure that your contact information is up to date in our system and you haven’t opted out from emails. If your email has changed or you are not sure, please send us an email with your name, email addresses you use and the course name and date.
  
  
• If you still don't have the Exam Results, it's possible that there is an unexpected delay with getting them from WSET.  We are happy to follow up with WSET for you if you send us an email [email protected]
  
  
• Remember; you don't need to wait for the results for WSET Level 1 and Level 2 in order to enroll to the next level!

Why is it not possible to get the results faster? 

• All WSET Exams are graded by WSET Global based in London. This includes any exams taken in-person, which NVWA ships to London for grading.
