Where can I find my Diploma Exam date?

You should have received an email confirmation with the exam info but you can also check the date you are registered for on your learning portal learn.napavalleywineacademy.com and select the course for which would like to transfer your exam and click on "Exam Options" on the left side menu / Click here to view and manage your exam options

Can I change my Diploma Exam date?

You can transfer your Diploma exam date for a later date if NVWA hasn't ordered your exam from WSET yet. To find out if transferring the exam is an option, please go your learning portal learn.napavalleywineacademy.com and select the course for which would like to transfer your exam and click on "Exam Options" on the left side menu.

You can find available Diploma exam dates within the Exam Options page or all Diploma exams (subject to availability) on this page.

Watch this video guide on how to view your candidate number, exam date, transfer exam, cancel exam or reorder a new exam on our learning portal:

What if I miss the exam order deadline and then want to change my exam date?

You can request an official deferral of your exam date from the WSET. This asks that they let you sit an exam at a later date for no charge. Deferrals are intended for sudden and unforeseeable situations where you can no longer take an exam you planned on: sudden illness or injury, bereavement, etc. Work commitments or travel are typically not approved reasons.

If you find yourself in a situation like this, please go your learning portal learn.napavalleywineacademy.com and select the course for which would like to defer your exam and click on "Exam Options" on the left side menu and follow the prompts.

Watch this video guide for further instructions.

If your deferral is approved, we will reach out and you can register you for a new exam date as soon as you'd like. If your deferral is not approved, you will have to pay a resit fee if you miss your exam date.

Can accommodations be made for me if I have a physical or learning disability that may impact my performance on the exam?

Yes, the WSET does allow accommodations on exams, usually in the form of extra time on the exam. Other accommodations are available as well on a case-by-case basis. You will need to provide written confirmation from a medical professional documenting the disability, which must be received by the WSET at least eight weeks prior to an exam. If you would like to discuss the possibility of a special accommodation, please email our support team at [email protected].

I have taken Diploma courses with other APP, can I take just the exam with NVWA?

Generally, diploma centers are encouraged to let students from other schools to take exams if it is more convenient for the student to sit the exam at a different location. Please, reach out by emailing [email protected] with your preferred exam date and confirm your student’s candidate number and birthdate to register for the exam. An exam fee will be payable upon registration.

I have taken some of the Diploma units with other APP, can I take the rest with NVWA?

You can transfer your Diploma program to NVWA by submitting a Transfer request for WSET's approval. After that NVWA will be your Diploma center and you will graduate from NVWA. Please, completed the diploma transfer form below and reach out by emailing [email protected] for further details.
