WSET Level 3 and Level 4 Diploma Digital Certificates and BadgesUpdated 2 months ago
Beginning in August 2025, all WSET certificates for Level 3 and Level 4 Diploma transitioned to fully digital delivery to make your achievement more accessible, shareable, and secure.
What This Means for WSET Level 3 Students:
- If your WSET Level 3 exam took place before 17 August 2025: You would have received a physical certificate and pin. You may order a digital certificate and badge for an additional fee directly from WSET on their website: https://shop.wsetglobal.com/
- If your WSET Level 3 exam was scheduled on or after 17 August 2025: You will receive a digital certificate and badge by email directly from WSET within about 5 business days from the date your grades are released. Paper certificates and physical pins will no longer be issued for any WSET Level 3 or Level 4 exams.
What This Means for WSET Level 4 Students:
- Any qualifications awarded from 17 August 2025 onward, regardless of final exam date, will be issued digitally. Paper certificates and physical pins will no longer be issued for any WSET Level 3 or Level 4 exams.
Why the Change?
Digital certificates offer several key benefits:
- Faster delivery — no more waiting on the mail and the long process
- Easier to share with employers, online profiles, and social media
- Secure and verifiable
- Lower environmental impact
We understand that some students may still prefer the feel and formality of a printed certificate and will be offering an option to purchase a physical pin during the transition. While this change may take some getting used to, it also reflects a broader shift towards sustainability and accessibility in professional education, aligning with Napa Valley Wine Academy’s core value of putting our students first.
